2015 Washington Redskins season
The Washington Redskins season is the franchise's 83rd season in the National Football League and the second under head coach Jay Gruden and first under general manager Scot McCloughan. The Redskins have improved from their 4-12 record from the previous season, as they now 5-6 and first in the division. Quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion during the third preseason game and consequently missed the rest of the preseason. He was cleared on September 10, 2015, to play in the season opener as the backup quarterback behind Kirk Cousins, who was named the starter for the season.
